Ice Paradise Zone - Racetrack based on Sonic Advance 2's Ice Paradise Zone!

Hello, Frostbrush here! This is my very first custom map that i created for SRB2Kart! The map is based on Ice Paradise Zone from Sonic Advance 2 (one of my favorites). I tried to recreate and reimagine feeling of the original level as much as i could, with many textures from the original game and also few custom textures that i made myself.

Map features remix of Ice Paradise Zone's Act 2 music by Silent Dreams

Also i want to thank Aqua's Karthouse discord server for helping...

Since you're planning to make more maps, I hope you could put this and future maps into a singular pack (help reduce going over the addon load limit)

small fixes and changes for Ice Paradise

Hey! this update includes these small changes and fixes for Ice Paradise:

- Fixed Goal banner texture for software mode
-Added rails to the first turn with ice so you can't fall of there
- Changed 2nd item boxe set location to the ramp and added roadsign before it
- Added rails before the start of long curvy bridge section

hey, do you think you could consider repacking this map into .pk3 format? I've been told they're better for storage space.

I was just notified that putting WADs into PK3s are much better for compression, so that's also an option.

Hot Crater Zone released!

Hello!

It's time for new update which includes my new map for Kart; Hot Crater Zone from Sonic Advance 2! This Sprint map takes you on a rollercoaster ride through different levels of the crater, where lower you get, the hotter it gets.

With this update the addon page for Ice Paradise will be swap for FrostbrushMapPak, which will include both Ice Paradise and Hot Crater for donwload in one pack. Alongside adding Hot Crater, the Ice Paradise also got few changes to it.

Small fixes for Ice Paradise and Hot Crater!

Heya!

It's time for an small update for the pack. Both of the current maps have gotten these changes:

Ice Paradise:
-Fixed problem with FoF slopes, so those don't destroy your orbits or jaws.
-Made 90 degree slope turns less likely to make you jump in middle of the turn.

Hot Crater:
-Adjusted kill planes at the beginning, so you don't wait too long when falling.
-Fixed problem with FoF slopes, so those don't destroy your orbits or jaws.
-Added back the heat wave effect, that got unused...

There's a small issue I noticed with Hot Crater based on some footage I've seen floating around online. After the first jump past the starting line, it's possible to get yourself launched past the first U-turn and into the pit past it if you're lucky enough to land on a driver below you.

Leaf Forest added and some updates!

Heya!

This update adds a new map from Sonic Advance 2; Leaf Forest! This map is made to be the first map of the cup, so i kept it simple and fun.

I also made some changes for both Ice Paradise and Hot Crater, which include:
- Updated textures
- Optimized map file size
- Adjustments on the parts of the maps
- Map thumpnails are now correct size

v3.1 HOTFIX

Hey, just a quick update for these three maps:

Leaf Forest
- Added impassable wall to stop players using unintentional shortcut
Hot Crater
- Made offroad for the shortcut in the two-way junction longer and added fences to block players using it without speed boost item
- Added some details to start line
Egg Utopia
- Added invisible solid fof for anti-grav sections to stop players from switching gravity when they are under the upside down road and getting blown up by a bomb item.

Holiday update!

Heya, it's update time!

This time update includes a new version of Ice Paradise that is reworked from ground up.

Ice Paradise was my first map i have done for SRB2Kart, and after doing other 4 maps for this pack, i felt that i could do it more justice now that i have more experience using zone builder. So i decided to rebuild the whole map from scratch and improve it, while still having a similar layout.

Another thing is that this map pack is getting renamed from FrostBrush's Racetracks...

Heya, it's update time again!

This time im releasing a new version of Ice Paradise and pack is getting a new name:

  • Ice Paradise was my first map that i made for SRB2Kart, and now that i have done 4 other maps and have more experience using the Zone Builder, i felt that i could do a better job with it and decided to remake the whole map from scratch. New Ice Paradise features numerous visual and design improvements, while still having similar layout from the original version...
