Everyone has high expectations that they are going to announce something big, but what if they announce something small like Coloursd or a bad game like 2006, you should always keep that in mind.
don't repeat the forces mistake of going with high expectations and getting angry when it's not what you expected
but do not go thinking that it will be something bad if not a game that could be bad or not

I do agree that Sonic Central is a bit overrated as a Sonic-focused YouTube channel and that Omen isn't a good Sonic fan-game (but still a better Sonic game than Forces was).
I'm also not expecting too much (and probably like Dewey's most famous sentence) considering how the 25th anniversary has been.

- Sonic Colors Ultimate (no DS content, apparently, sad)
- Classic games collection, a.k.a. 1, 2, 3, Knuckles, and CD
- Bonus content for mobile Sonic games
- A new series based on Sonic Colors, titled "Rise of the Wisps"
- Bonus content for Team Sonic Racing (also smth about Sonic Mania and Sonic Forces, I think?)
- More info on Sonic Prime
- Sonic related content for other SEGA titles
- A new, mysterious Sonic project for 2022
Needless to say, I'm hyped.

I hope the classics compilation comes with new content, because it would be kinda disappointing just to have a compilation with improved graphics and widescreen when this already exists on PC

Allow me to correct myself, it's actually Classic Sonic related content for the Apple Arcade game, "Sonic Racing".
Now my question is, why are these games named so similarly?

Some thoughts on some key points during the direct.
- Grateful that Sonic Colors is finally getting the remaster is deserved.
- Glad that Sonic 3&K is getting a re-release after so long.
-Not glad on the fact that S3&K is emulated while the other games are getting their Retro Engine remasters. Turns out I was wrong, S3&K will be widescreen after all. (but on the bright side, kinda glad said retro engine remasters aren't tethered to mobile devices or apple tvs anymore 
)
- Animated series looks okay i guess.
- Mobile content, crossovers, and merchandising stuff I have no opinion of; Although the tie-in with Two-Point Hospital and the Tokyo2020 Olympics Video Game has the potential to be funny. 
- WTF is Sonic Team working on for their next game? As far as their CGI teasers typically do, this is showing off less info than usual. >_>
- Finally, when are we getting info on whatever the hell Christian Whitehead and his Star Engine team is working on (even if it isn't sonic related)?

as someone who plays sonic 3 AIR and the retro engine PC ports of sonic 1, 2, and CD i dont realy care but
1. DS has so many characters it has to be the Wii One cause its the only one ive played and care about
2. i dont have a phone so idc about mobile crap but i did like sonic dash when i used my mom's phone
