Does not use Sonic.
This is nothing.Sonic the Hedgehog is serious business.
It explains everything, really.
TRUE Sonic fans complain about how the classic games - still in their Mega Drive format - were better when they were kids.

I can confirm this, Sonic fans complain about the most ridiculous stuff, Sonic 4 made me laugh my ass of not because of the whole "green eyes" stuff, but because of the "Sonic 4 sucks because the momentum you get while advancing is not the same as it was on the Genesis days, wich makes you feel like you didn't earn the speed".
That's a control problem, and not a physics one.Sonnarkku have you ever tried rolling down a hill in sonic 4 while not pressing the dpad?

Ive seen hilarious review in one of my country´s game magazines. SADX - 42/100 for being childish and for glitches. How the hell could they write that? I remember one pretty annoying glitch which could kill you pretty easily, but decreasing score like that is weird. Why are everyone underrating every Sonic game just because of Sonic 3´s awesomeness?
Yeah, but the slope problems are only just the beginning. Shitty level design is a big part of it, you know.犬夜叉;706874 said:Just because a game has one or two annoying problems doesn't automatically make the entire game bad.
犬夜叉;706874 said:Have you ever ran off a cliff in the Genesis games while moving faster than Sonic can normally go, while holding the direction you're moving in?
What happens? Instantaneous slowdown to your max speed. Complete nonsense, and very annoying.
you don't understand the purpose of explaining your thoughts on something instead of just giving vague comments

Only in Sonic 1/2/CD. The bug was fixed in S3, S3K, and S2K.
I could give a lot of reasons for not liking the game:犬夜叉;707031 said:Would you mind explaining exactly what is shitty about the level design instead of just saying "it's shitty, and shitty level design ruins the game"?
Because its level design is mostly generic and uninteresting with reused gimmicks?
There was a point where I ignored the Sonic 4 topic due to massive amounts of drama, so if you posted your thoughts there during then, I completely missed it.I'm sure you'd have pieced it together from my previous rantings on the game (so I assumed there wouldn't be a need to repost), but you have just never given any proper criticism at all.
It doesn't have it, to the best of my knowledge. I was pointing out other flaws in the classic games, since glaber went "Sonic 4 has this one flaw, how can you ignore it". I'd have thought the inclusion of a flaw in SRB2 in that same post would've made that obvious, natch.I also don't see your point about the aerial movement bug. It's a bad thing that they kept it in a future game, you know. "Because the classics did it!" is no good reason for any flaw this game has.
The classic-styled gameplay looks alright so far, though the sudden changes in Sonic's speed seem awkward to me. At least there's platforming.犬夜叉;707033 said:Out of curiosity, mind posting your feelings on the Green Hill Zone gameplay footage posted earlier in this topic, then? I don't believe you've done so, yet.
Yeah, these visuals look great, though the linear styles of recent sonic games are just killing me. The classics had a great deal of multiple-paths and replayability, and while it's hard to be non-linear in a sidescrolling game, they were pretty damn explorable.
This applies more to the modern gameplay, but I'd much prefer to be exploring all that scenery in the background, rather than running right past it in a speedy linear corridor.
Wee, another port of a sonic game into the DS where you play just like Sonic Rush, but with different stuff that makes it different from Sonic Rush.
You know what I'm getting at, don't ya? True, there's nothing that proves my point, but considering that every single sonic game on the DS had the same Sonic Rush's engine, chances are, we'll get the same game a 4th time.
Oh and Cave Story for the 3DS :D
