SRB2Wii thread (v2.0.0 RC4, news update 27/11/2010 10:46)

Just one quick question for y'all. After the Homebrew Channel is Downloaded and I can use it, can I put my files back on the SDcard (Brawl photos, other Wii channels, etc.) without braking anything.

Did you actually read that post properly? >_>

I finally got it to work, it works fine near perfect. but i cannot move up or down at the main menu (i use classic controller), the only button that works is the back button on the wiimote, which means i can only go to single player. When it starts, it uses the classic controller. Also, how do i save and leave to the main menu when in-game?

i edited that post, re-read it if you can help.

That's a problem with SRB2Wii at the moment, it will be fixed in the next release I'm afraid. Thanks for your patience, I will have the next release done as soon as I can. =)

i don't know what issues you are having with the controls, but if you, can, this should be the classic controller controls (since you don't have one)

left analog-contol
A=jump
B=spin dash
L and R= strafe
ZL=ring fire normal
ZR=special ring fire
D-pad left and right= change rings
Y=toss flag
X=scores/rankings
start=pause (on and offilne?)
Right analog=??

the L analog moves your character around. when you press it left or right, it doesn't exactly move straight-left or right so L and R buttons should strafe?

Maybe that's how it works in Goldeneye due to a lack of a second analog stick, but in most games, the first analog stick moves the player (forward, back, strafe left/right) and the second analog stick looks around (turn left/right, look up/down).

Goldeneye basically never forces you to look up and down for this reason.

Let's get back on topic, people, shall we? Don't make me break the laws of physics and give an administrator a yellow card.

Match, Tag and CTF are all first person shooter modes. And as a personal preference, I play the entire game in first person mode. I'm not the only one, I'm sure.

You'd really do that? Anyway it runs ALMOST perfectly for me, other than the fact that the color is screwed up and it freezes when I change to a few levels and the controls get stuck at GFZ2 for some strange reason...>_>

I play the entire game in first person mode.
I dont understand why you would do that. For me it kinda defeats the purpose of playing a sonic game.
ANYWAY. For those people who really want to play SRB2Wii, I sugest playing with the scr_mysticrealm20v2 WAD. It works great without any failing in 1p, Unlike the regular game where its a complete failure after THZ3.

I honestly can't tell you how many times the cam screws me up in Race and in custom levels. Plus, I actually feel a greater sense of speed from it, personally.
