The Starters and movieunleashers Character pack V5 Part1 hotfix

so what was once an update meant to upgrade some of the character has ballooned into something genuinely amazing

this pack has now basically become a collaborative effort between me and Sheepswithfangs

if some people remember


she was one of the contributors to the sonic Collab

She's actually a really good friend of mine and has helped me with some of this stuff in the past

but

this is only the first half of V5

everything else we have planned is estimated to release in October alongside a smaller update in November

probably shocked to think this pack isn't just over yet with the fact it's been nearly a year since the pack got any new content

well... depending on how things go

there will likely be a new update this year to celebrate starters 15th anniversary

kinda shocked that's a thing

anyway

the big thing is select characters are getting revisions to overall look better

these are technically considered v3s but aren't a huge jump in quality in order to stay consistent with the pack

so far I can confirm that chespin and Tepig will be getting revisions

I have no estimate for when this update will release with the fact the sonic Collab is still going on

this update is probably the biggest update I've done

every single character except ditto got a v2

basically making the pack on par with everything else I've made as of late

alongside some new stuff and some removals..

first.. the new stuff

there's finally a new character

that being oshawott

he was one I wanted to do before I well... moved on to my oddballs pack.. well

now he's here and sadly his voice isn't from starters..

had to do that since he doesn't have enough material to work with otherwise

and now... there's two custom skin colors made for fennekin

flaming rage and

typeless
Typeless is essentially the replacement for fireless fennekin

speaking of which...

the removals... I removed cyborg mudkip and fireless fennekin since I felt they were nothing but wasted character slots.. so uh... that's essentially it

so, I've gotten 5 of the 7 done


this update won't just be v2s... but you'll have to wait and see who those are

so

the pack isn't dead (yet)


I'm still working on the v2s

kinda getting the harder ones out of the way first

I'm thinking this update will release sometime next month or maybe june

I'm not 100% sure yet

so... while working on the v2s that'll show up in another pack

I looked at this pack and well ... it needs more polishing

so yeah

I'm gonna polish stuff up for the final update for now

so... it's been a long time since I've said anything about this pack

mostly because I have no real motive to return to making updates for this pack

the temptation to fuse it into offbrand's oddballs is there but I would probably make the character roster rather bloated

so I've decided that I'll redo a select few characters from this pack and put them in offbrand's oddballs

starting with Chespin

I don't know if I'll ever add any new characters to this pack but who knows

i might get bored and do some for the hell of it

with offbrand's oddballs clearly being more popular than this pack and there not being much Left to make for this pack

I'll just say that

there won't be another update for a while


I'll probably add a couple movieunleashers characters before wrapping this pack up

but that'll be in November at the earliest

Now.. Ditto.. I wanted to get ditto out before this milestone was reached but.. It's clear that couldn't happen.. But I'm gonna do everything in my power to get him out by TONIGHT

Ditto is the final character in the starters half of the pack

The Movieunleashers half won't be worked on till at least mid August

Mostly due to me being in a collab and another character pack taking some attention away

There's another character that was supposed to be out but I have no idea what happened to it-
