Coming from my previous Pokémon addon, "Stapy's Mons" is making a return in Ring Racers! This addon adds in some of my favorite Pokémon into Dr. Robotnik's Ring Racers!

This addon comes in full and individual files so you can pick who gets to join your gameplay session and who doesn't!

Here are the returners from Stapy's Mons who have raced before, ready to give another go in the next generation!

And here are the newcomers who WEREN'T in Stapy's Mons before! Making their debuts in Regulation R(ing) instead. Please note I do not plan to add any of them to the original SRB2Kart addon.

Look into their full character details to know more about them!
A total of 13 Pokémon are available in the modpack as of the latest release. All of these Pokémon are rivals with each other. Additionally they have Working Designs signposts as well!

Tatsugiri-Droopy (Class B, s4-w1)
Debut Generation: IX
Added in: Release (v1.3 for redo)
Default Color: Raspberry (Red in Stapy's Mons)

Droopy Form Tatsugiri to be more specific, coming in from the Paldea Region. No Dondozo included since he likes to go by himself with his Storm Drain ability instead of the usual Commander.

Stats are based on the fact it can't outspeed a base Speed 85 Pokémon without any speed investments (He's base 82 in speed.)

Rivals:
Spinarak (Second favorite of mine)
Samurott (Fellow Water-type)
Garchomp (Fellow Dragon-type, he also knows Surf as one of his current moves)

Difference from Kart Version: No longer uses Amy's stats, brand new icons

From v1.0-v1.2

new spins.PNG

Spinarak (Class A, s3-w1)
Debut Generation: II
Added in: Release (v1.9 for redo)
Default Color: Pistachio (Artichoke in Stapy's Mons)

Coming from Route 30 (if you're playing on Gold/Crystal/Heartgold) of the Johto Region, Spinarak is ready to spin the tracks in his web!

Stats are based on Spinarak's base 30 Speed and small weight.

Rivals:
Tatsugiri (Top 2 favorite of mine)
Scatterbug (Fellow Bug-type)
Yanma (Fellow Bug-type)

Difference from Kart Version: Speed stat inverted, retains same weight. Hurt and lose voicelines changed. Different default color

From v1.0-v1.8
1717807950111.png
1717808081316.png

Silvally (Class E, s5-w5)
Debut Generation: VII
Added in: Release
Default Color: White
(Silvally's recolorable parts are based on his RKS System ability and forms, takes in the brightest parts of the color so using dark colors are highly recommended)

Created by the Aether Foundation from the Alola region, Silvally was sent out to fight off Ultra Beasts but had to be implanted on a kart to easily drive through every Ring Racers Map outside his universe. He also has to investigate every Ring Racers Map he goes to and check and see if there's any UBs lurking around to kill off.

Stats are based on Silvally's base stats all at being 95. I chose to make him (5, 5) and not (9, 5) since Silvally is outsped by base 100s and 95 base speed really shouldn't be a 9 speed in Ring Racers, So Silvally ended up being in the middle of the class chart (Merging with Knuckles, Emerl, and Heavy Magician).

Silvally is marked as a Machine due to the fact he is an Artificial Pokémon. Silvally uses a Memory as his held item, that comes out when he explodes (Marking Silvally as a Badnik as well)

Rivals:
Spinarak (a Pokémon you can find in the first routes of Alola)
Yanma (Pre-evolution of a Pokemon that appears in Ultra Space Wilds)
Zoroark (Another Pokémon that Gladion has of his own)

Originally on v1.0, Salamence was Silvally's third rival without any good reason but since Yanma is finally here, Yanma takes the spot instead.

From v1.0-v1.2: Silvally's death sprite used to read the text "Silvally used Explosion!"
1720574761625.png

Scatterbug (Class B, s3-w2)
Debut Generation: VI
Added in: v1.1
Default Color: Nickel
(Same as Stapy's Mons)

Returning in v1.1, She came from the Santalune Forest of the Kalos Region! She desires to evolve all the way into a Vivillon, so that's why she chose to race in the first place!

Stats are based on her 35 base speed in the actual games, I gave her an extra point in weight so she won't merge with Spinarak

Rivals:
Spinarak (Fellow Bug-type)
Yanma (Fellow Bug-Type)
Salamence (A flying-type, ready to terrorize the poor bug with a Hurricane or so)

Difference from Kart Version: Restated to be similar with Spinarak's. Her hair and the fur on her neck are now recolorable. Lose voiceline changed.
1720575133040.png

Salamence (Class I, s9-w8)
Debut Generation: III
Added in: v1.1
Default Color: Cerulean
(Same as Stapy's Mons)

(He's too big to fit in the extra info screen but anyways) Salamence migrated into Ring Racers after finding out that SRB2Kart is probably dead, so he moved here instead ready to terrorize the weaker Pokémon for fun. Salamence may or may not be the "antagonist" of the modpack

Stats are based on his base 100 speed and 80 base defenses (Another unsatisfactory 9,8)

Rivals:
Garchomp (They fucking hate each other)
Spinarak (Weak bug-type to terrorize)
Tatsugiri (Fellow Dragon Type)

Difference from Kart Version: Lost one point in weight, New winner icon, No longer pushes on the pedals.
1720575379805.png

Yanma (Class C, s9-w3)
Debut Generation: II
Added in: v1.1
Default Color: Red
(Maroon in Stapy's Mons)

Yanma has returned in v1.1 after learning how to drive a kart without flying! Apparently a Yanma can only tilt it's head sideways so he has to turn his whole body to drift or look at.

Stats are based on Yanma's Speed Boost ability (Automatic 9) and due to Yanma now driving a kart, his weight has increased (Based on Yanma's actual weight)

Rivals:
Spinarak (Fellow Johto-region Bug)
Scatterbug (Fellow Bugs you can find normally in Pokémon X/Y, and Pokémon Scarlet/Violet)
Garchomp (I liked using these two together back in BDSP)

Difference from Kart Version: Gained 2 points of weight. Now on a Kart.
1720575663179.png

Samurott (Class G, s3-w9)
Debut Generation: V
Added in: v1.1
Default Color: Sapphire
(Blue in Stapy's Mons)

The Formidable Pokémon finally makes his return in v1.1. He had enough of being in the ZU tiers of the Pokémon Scarlet/Violet metagame where an evil fucked up version of him severely outclasses him in OU. So he decided to give another go in karting, his evil version of him wouldn't find out right?

Stats are based on his base 70 speed, which isn't even close to 85 so he has 3 Speed in Ring Racers and his weight is set to 9 due to the fact he has the double weight of his Hisuian counterpart.

Rivals:
Tatsugiri (Storm Drain user ready to steal his Water attacks)
Zoroark (Fellow Gen V mon)
Silvally (Silvally's tail reminds me of Samurott's)

Difference from Kart Version: No longer pushing on the pedals. gained one point of Weight.
1722268003074.png

Sunkern (Class A, s1-w1)
Debut Generation: II
Added in: v1.2
Default Color: Olive

The weakest Pokémon of all time makes her way into Ring Racers! Seems like she would have to rely on getting Ring-boosts for having the lowest stats in the game.

Originally she was going to be s6-w3 based on her 30 base stats and the boost from her Chlorophyll ability. However due to a penalty of being the worst Pokémon of all time by base stats, her stats were automatically set to s1-w1.

Rivals:
Spinarak (Fellow Generation 2 Pokemon)
Silvally (Both of their base stats are set at the exact same number, Sunkern is 30 and Silvally is 95)
Koraidon (Has a sun-setting ability, which helps Sunkern's Chlorophyll ability)
1729029361852.png

Zoroark (Class F, s9-w6)
Debut Generation: V
Added in: v1.5
Default Color: Maroon

Nope, it's not an illusion you're seeing, It's actually Zoroark himself entering the race! Very well known for casting illusions or sometimes disguising as a different mon. However for some reason, He doesn't do that here and that's because there's a Neutralizing Gas Koffing shoved inside of the kart to prevent his Illusion ability from working, but that doesn't stop him from constantly taunting other racers he passes by.

Originally, I was planning on making Zoroark Class J, but wanted to make it that where he keeps his original stats upon changing character OR make it where he loses the SF_IRONMAN flag when he gets hit once but regain it on the next lap. But I have zero knowledge on how to script so for now, Zoroark will be ironmanless until I find the right lua script desired for him.

No Koffings were harmed in the making of this.

Rivals:
Silvally (Another Pokémon that Gladion has of his own)
Samurott (Fellow Gen V mon)
Salamence (These two definitely enjoy terrorizing other Pokémon in my headcannon)
gchomp.PNG

Garchomp (Class I, s9-w7)
Debut Generation: IV
Added in: v1.6
Default Color: Jet

Flying fast as a jet and incredibly dangerous, Everyone's favorite pseudo-legendary joins in the race with maximum speed and with a weight slightly shorter than his main enemy, Salamence.

While he's fast when gliding in the air, He might be able to pick up speed in kart equal to his flight speed. Although don't bump into him too much or you might make contact with his Rough Skin, also Garchomp himself has a very short fuse and will get really pissed if he ends up in last, so don't let that happen.

Rivals:
Salamence (They fucking hate each other)
Yanma (I liked using these two together back in BDSP)
Tatsugiri (Garchomp has Surf in his moveset, in which benefits Tatsugiri.)
1737497536911.png

Urshifu (Class F, s8-w5)
Debut Generation: VIII
Added in: v1.7
Default Color: Skunk

Normally, a Kubfu would evolve into Urshifu by reading through one of the two available scrolls which are the Scroll of Darkness and Scroll of Waters. However, this one read through a strange copy of the Scroll of Darkness that involves Rings and Racing in it, and now he is addicted to Ring Racing after he evolved.

Rivals:
Zoroark (A pure dark-type, representing the Single Strike form)
Tatsugiri (He thought he'd be facing against Rapid Strike Urshifu, but was wrong)
Samurott (A pure water-type, representing the Rapid Strike form, also has Shell Armor which makes him immune to critical hits)
1737498063879.png

Koraidon (Class I, s9-w9)
Debut Generation: IX
Added in: v1.7
Default Color: Red

Everyone's favorite sandwich-loving bike lizard is finally here! He was brought back from the past once again, now shifted over to a reality where all Pokémon are seated in ring racers, and Koraidon himself decided to join in.

Who even needs Limited Build, as Koraidon instead drives a Ring Racer in his Apex Form! However, there is a certain time when he reverts back to his Limited Build form..

Rivals:
Miraidon (His futuristic counterpart)
Urshifu (Both relevant to the current metagame, they also both hate Fairy-types so that's a common)
Sunkern (Has Chlorophyll has her ability in which is boosted by Sun, in which Koraidon has a sun-setting ability himself)
1744768087866.png

Miraidon (Class I, s9-w9)
Debut Generation: IX
Added in: v2.0
Default Color: Purple

Talk about using Electro Drift! After seeing his ancient-counterpart compete in Regulation R, Miraidon decided to join in the competition!

Being the strongest Pokémon in the game, Miraidon is ready to dominate the Ring Racers' metagame as well if being tiered as AG on Smogon wasn't enough for him.

Similar to Koraidon, Miraidon drives in as his Ultimate Form. Who needs Low-Power anyways?!

Rivals:
Koraidon (His ancient relative)
Urshifu (Another meta-relevant legendary mon)
Spinarak (I happen to use them both in VGC 2025 Regulation I)
A total of 3 followers are present as of v1.4. All based off of held items and can be found under the HeldItems category. The Held Items are also available on their own.
