We finally got a proper Rouge mod! No Sonic Battle sprites reuse, no old port, an actual properly SRB2-styled Rouge. Awesome! Buuut, this leaves...a LOT to be desired.
Lovely sprites! But her wings don't seem to flap, like, at all, even while she's gliding. Cool that they're paper sprites tho. And the character art is just heavily downscaled official art, not great.
And her abilities... Glide and climb is expected and I do like that you can enter and exit from it at any time. Would be cool if she could do a flap to gain extra height, something like Combi-Rings' Ray. But her attack is just...Amy's hammer reskinned..? Weird and kinda lazy ngl. I figured she'd do something with her legs, like a swipe kick, spinning stomp, or something. It's kinda one of her defining traits.
Overall, a worthy attempt, but definitely needs to be worked on more so that she can stand out as her own character and not just Knuckles with a hammer. 3/ 5.
