and the next character for v5 is ....

starters Chespin!


honestly this one was kinda expected but yeah

I might do another companion character to another character in the pack so uh .. that might be the next character I'll reveal

so.... it's that time again where another character is ready to be revealed and...

it's mudkip v2

yep

a starters character is getting redone from scratch and being put into this pack instead

one of two starters characters that were meant for this pack originally but after the two gained a lot of attention... it kinda spun off into it's own thing

so yeah

I'll be doing another starters character as well to complement mudkip v2 and a potential new follower category..

so I've decided that this will be how I reveal the roster to v5

showing them off as they're completed

I was honestly close to just releasing this one early but I've decided that I'll hold him back for v5


and that character is.....

Acer​

yep, bet this one was a total curveball of a character choice. but remember

my original goal with the pack was to have more odd character choices and Acer fits that perfectly

he's also My first custom kart character and most likely won't be my last

Acer uses the custom kart husk lua code that I'll link once I have his description done

I'm not sure if I'll provide a Lua-less version due to how weird it would be

Acer is 100% coming to v5 and see y'all till the next character reveal

so... I'll be completely honest

whatever I announce for updates

are always TBD

most of the time stuff gets cut

and the roster of v5 is the case

the roster will be revealed closer to the update's completion

but right now

the update is about 20% done

So... progress update

I'm so far getting the non new character stuff out of the way first since I'm afraid I might forget something

but so far the PMD category has been added and the followers that needed to be moved were moved

I wanted to share some jack Frost dialogue I've come up with since I can't really put it in the game...

SpongeBob: Hey, cheese head. how are you even here? hasn't the lack of water sucked the life out of ya?

Dusknoir: You say you hate grovyle yet... you saved his life right before his spirit melted away... I say that's true love

SpongeWow: what kind of off brand are you.. well chop chop, I just spilled some hot sauce, you know what to do.

Plankton: 25 years.... 25 years of failed plans and for what? a recipe for a burger?.. I don't know if I should call you committed or pathetic..

Movie sonic: well well well.. you really dodged a bullet didn't you? your ugly counterpart is nothing but a washed up side character in a movie made by another studio.. also shut up.


Play by play Pikachu: Jeez.. what happened to you?... slam your head into a concrete wall?.. wait... that's what you've always looked like?... oh..


GBC SpongeBob: for your first game.... they got you all wrong...


Grovyle: there's no time gears here, piss off!

Stikbot: What are you now?.. a fidget or some kind of teaching tool? make up your mind!

Quagsire: How did you even get into that kart... you clearly don't have enough brain cells by the look on your face! how about you let your pre evolution drive instead!

but followers are changing in v5


I'm not removing any but I'm just making adjustments to some or outright redoing them from scratch like I did for the time gear

alongside that

I'll be splitting the pokemon content in two

the PMD/pokemon mystery dungeon stuff is getting its own category in v5


that's all for now

so... the roster for v5 has been decided

and v5 won't come out until all characters are done

may release other things before then but v5 itself won't release until then

homer v1 has officially been seen as out dated as well as something that's

common

there's like 2 other homers out there so...

either he'll get a v2... or just outright be removed from the pack

so

this pack has officially surpassed every other character pack I've made by quite a bit

I'm honestly quite shocked tbh

I never thought back when I started working on this pack in July of 2024.. it would reach so many downloads

thank you all for who here either taken a look at this pack.. or even downloaded it

I'm hoping I can make V5 feel grand to celebrate such a milestone

so .. the update that I now consider a more content than characters update is finally done and released

v5 will probably take a long time to come out since everything that didn't make it in this update

will be in v5
