Diggle's Track Delve

Diggle's Track Delve Cerussite

Fantastic work! Simple as that. I love the new version of Burning Bone Zone as well. Seeing a Penny's Big Breakaway inclusion was also really nice.

There is also the secret of Floor B1 that starts with beating the first Giant's Gate special stage. It defiantly worth gritting my teeth on Intense instead of my usual Vicious/Master just so I can unlock it.

That secret deserves it's own review which I would have put here if it was not removed for some reason after linking a mirror of it posted to my blog, If you can find my blog, consider giving it a read there as it ain't getting removed any time soon.

There is also one more secret that is progressed by beating the second Giant's Gate special stage, but it blocks you with a WIP signage in the version listed on the review.

The Reactor is the coolest track I've played in the game, incredible getting to push the Fire Shield to its limits and I had an amazing time figuring it out (nice music choices too). Burning Bone Zone and Sen's Fortress are always group favorites on game nights too (the latter is devilish!!)

The only qualm I have is that there is no good reason I should try to get a plus record for the cup considering how hard the Special Stage is. I absolutely love it for Special Mode, but unless you have a cool cinematic cut-scene or really any super reward for beating the stage in a real GP, I don't see it being worth grinding for.

I enjoyed these tracks back in Kart, and they're even better here. Nicely balanced difficulty, gorgeous visuals, and some jammin' music choices. Stands toe-to-toe with the base game's better tracks, easily.

I even enjoyed the Sealed Star, despite not beating it - I couldn't really tell what caused me to randomly explode midway through the course a few times though, so I think that could be a bit more clearly communicated, but I really like the idea of centering it on a particular item (and one as fun as Fire Shield), and I'd like to see more stuff like that.

Good stuff!

Phenomenal cup right here. I only did a single grand prix run on vicious, but if you ask me, all the tracks here stand shoulder to shoulder with vanilla's offerings.
I did have a bit of trouble navigating Botanic Base at first but I'm pretty sure that was my bad, it's a pretty straight-forward course when you get the hang of it.
The second Prison stage gave me a bit of navigation trouble as well, for all its apparent layers and such, but I only missed one Prison, so clearly it's not a problem.
I loved all the opportunities for sliptiding and triangle dashing across the tracks, and how high-octane the majority of them felt. There wasn't a single dull moment, the tracks are incredibly fun just to drive through.
Speaking of the track design, I feel they all stood out in their own ways very nicely... 'cept for maybe Botanic Base, but I think it's okay to have something more basic, especially as the first track, with how involved some of the tracks are hazards-wise.
In Lava Reef's case specifically, I think a very nice job was done translating certain iconic features from S&K- namely, all the blocky stairs, cuz I doubt I need to mention the long downward spiral :p
I also really enjoyed what the fourth track did, even if it's kind of a simple gimmick overall.
The music selection across the entire cup was also top-notch. Especially love the choice for the fifth track!
The special stage goes hard as fuck.
To sum up, every & any should check this cup out. It's the cream of the Ring Racers mapping crop.
