Zone Builder crashes upon trying to open file explorer

Hi, I am brand new to modding, trying to get Zone Builder v2.12 to work and when I try to add resources or specify a testing engine the application crashes upon trying to open the file explorer. I am able to use the "From Directory" option, but not the PK3/PK7 options for adding resources. I am on windows, and I am extremely confused as to what could be causing this. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I am also not able to open any maps I have previously created, as the program crashes when opening the file explorer there too. I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling, with no luck.

Can you please especify wich version of Windows do you have? because older versions like Vista and 7 may have some issues with these kind of app´s behaviour
