XWE on Vista and other Questions

After a long time and rediscovering SRB2, I want to get backing into making some Character wads, But I have ran into a little snag...

I am using the Windows Vista operating system and when I start XWE it gives me an error saying: "Failed to create Key .Wad" with an 'OK' button

after clicking the program boots up saying another error:
"List index out of bounds (0)" with another 'OK' button

The same things happens when I try creating a new .WAD but with a '3' instead of a zero in the "( )"

Is there another similar program that runs on Vista, or a possible way to fix this problem?

Any help will be welcome, unless it is something along the lines of " Vista sucks, go back to XP" etc.

Thank You

Right click the XWE icon > Select "Run as Administrator" > Press "Allow" to the window that appears.

It should then work correctly. If it doesn't, try redownloading XWE and repeat.

Gosh, this solution is coming up so frequently. It's about time that I make this the first troubleshooting solution on XWE on the Wiki.

That's all that I needed to do... Crud. Thanks for your help, this topic can now be closed.
