Xbox Live saving problem

I have Xbox Live, and it owns. The only problem is, it isn't saving onto my old account. Example: I beat "The Ark" on Legendary (highest) difficulty in Halo 3 while online, but it didn't show on my default account, only on my online one. Any advice?

That's what it does.

Yeah, the achievements (which, in this case, is completing "The Ark" on legendary") is tied to the profile you were using at the time you did it, which, in this case, is your Live profile.

If you have a Live account, why the hell do you have a local account too?

Because it took a week (or so) to get live. Anyway, my new profile is now greater than my old one, so this topic is inferior.
