Lets see how many Xbox 360 owners react to this
Remember when Sony released the PS3 Slim in September? They changed the the appearance of the front and back of every game box, with the banner appearing at the top instead of the left like before, and the text saying "PS3" with a font looking similar to the PS2 logo's font instead of "PLAYSTATION 3" with the old Spider-Man font.
Now, it's Microsoft's turn to change the packaging of all upcoming Xbox 360 games, here are the top stripes in comparison:
Old:
New:
Note that the 360's logo remains the same (though it has been made a lighter shade of grey), as does a focus on white and green, but gone are the lines from the "circles" logo the console has used since 2005. In its place is the "wave" that also features on the company's E3 invites for 2010.
Could the reason of the Xbox 360 package redesign be that the rumored Xbox 360 Slim is on it's way for an E3 2010 announcement? We will find out when E3 starts.
