Windows Movie Maker Help: I Can't edit AVI files

I Use Hypercam to make my own videos, But i can't edit my videos it with windows movie maker, Somebody help... :(

First off, Hypercam sucks, use CamStudio, etc.

Secondly, how exactly are you going about opening the file?

Hypercam does suck, but Camstudio does have problems with some things. Camstudio runs better on my computer than Hypercam does, but on my friend's computer it's vice versa.

But in the end, if it's games you're recording, then look no farther than a registered version of Fraps. Unless your computer doesn't handle it well like mine, or you're recording a game that doesn't support it (like a Flash or Java game, for example).
