Will SRB2 be able to recognize the "P Buttons" on my controller?

My controller has the P1 and P2 buttons on the back and I'm wondering if I'm able to map these to any of the controls in SRB2. The controller in the first picture is an 8BitDo Pro 2 controller. This question applies to the back buttons of the Xbox Elite controller as well. I don't know if this is already a feature or not.
