Forget the gorgeous graphics, the lack of a HUD (meaning that the way you gauge your status is through actual visual cues on the fighters), the fact that some are pretty much lauding this as the next Punchout (albeit lacking Doc Louis down there in my sig). No, the REAL reason is this:

So, yeah, in short, WHERE IS YOUR GOD NOW? and stuff.

BTW, he's apparently a playable boxer and everything.

Horray for the shader which duplicates people from the crowd and sits the clones right next to each other so they look like twins!

What? You mean the Burger King guy?
No, I mean the endless sea of clones with the exact same faces all in the exact same pose and everything.

Sarcasm aside, yeah, the Burger King. He'll obviously become a fan favorite...

This just might be the only boxing game I'll ever bother to play.

I've had reasons like that. I've felt like getting to know more about cars, so at the time I bought Need for Speed Underground 2, and then wanted to have a basketball game, so I bought NBA Street V3. Just like Ritz, I'll get this game too.
