Whistler Blackcomb

Has anyone here been to Whistler Blackcomb? I am thinking about going skiing there this winter, and I am curious as to your experience and what you might think is the best time to go, where to stay, things to do, etc.

No, but if it's where I think it is, I believe an old Canadian forum member I once knew (I'm loathe to call him a "friend") used to go there all the time; even met the Microsoft blokes there (it's where they got the codenames for various products, as I recall).
