If you played almost alot of Mario games, here is a way to break it down.

Mario: A balanced character.
Luigi: High Jumps, Low Speed, Power (Little Weak but good)
Peach: Balanced Speed, Floats, Less Power
Toad: Low Jump, High Power and Speed.
Yoshi: MAXED Speed, Average Power, Float-up Ability, Tougue Attack, Egg Throw.
DK: MAXED Power, Average Jump and Speed, Easy to hit (On Mario Strikers).
Wario: Low Jump, MAXED Power, Low Speed.
Bowser: MAXED Power, low speed, little average jump.

Wario, Wario is definitly one of my faveourite characters in Mario.

Why? Because he is fat, awsome and the equivilant of a pirate!

Right on, Wario all the way. If I could pick 2 it would be Luigi and Wario.

Luigi because he wears green, my favorite color. Given that I got into him in a world devoid of Yoshi, it was pretty easy to make the choice.

Besides, his floaty jumps are exceedingly controllable, you know? Mario may set the standard (and be a bit faster with his jumps at that), but his heavier weight tends to give you slightly less air control than Luigi overall - and in a game all about jumping, air-control matters greatly.
