Where did the name for the SDURF come from?

I believe it might've come from one of many Sepwich-era SRB2 injokes because a lot of the game had pretty weird names and jokes. I've never seen the origin myself, but my good guess would be the same people who made Sonic say "I MADE TOAST!" with such exuberance.
