Whats the WHOLE deal on Easter Egg mode?

Okay I would just like to know mostly everything that people are willing to tell me about and I also have one question. I found an egg in 1.8 and it wan't Easter or April nor did I have a Srb2- Easter batch file.
 
The easter egg thing was originally an idea of mine for Demo 4.35... I wanted to hide easter eggs in the level that you could find when April rolled around. I never got around to finishing it until a little bit before SRB2:2k3 came out, and then Mystic got the idea from the eggs to have 'emblems' in the maps.
