What's something I should know/do before playing Online Multiplayer?

One cloudy autumn day, 2022 I stumbled across Sonic Robo Blast 2.
I booted the lastest version up and played Singleplayer, but then I noticed something later.
What is Multiplayer?
Well, boy is it hard. Multiplayer has been a concept on my mind for quite a while now. So now I'm finally asking the question.

What's something I should know or do before playing Online Multiplayer.

Multiplayer is exactly what it sounds like.
Heres what you should know:
Play through the singleplayer campaign with all emeralds first.
If you haven't yet played multiplayer, joining a server will prompt you to download addons. Downloading them will place them in a folder labelled "DOWNLOAD." This will take a while. A long while. But once loaded, you enter into the server with real people, playing at the same time as you.
There are three main "rooms"
Standard
Casual
Custom Gametypes.
Standard has regular SRB2 gametypes along with a few custom ones like PTSR and Murd Mystery.
Casual is home to mostly ringslinger and hangouts
Custom Gametypes is exactly what it sounds like.

I think you're making it more dramatic than it actually is lol.
It's just a mode that allows you to play the game with multiple people over the internet. (Or even just one other person via local splitscreen.)
There's not really anything you should take a look at before playing it. As long as you know what gameplay is like, you'll be fine.
There's many gamemodes like Co-op (Basically just playing through the game like you would in SP but with multiple players) or Match. (Turns the game into a first-person shooter with Sonic-style movement and it's own exclusive maps. It'll be removed from the vanilla game in 2.3 along with it's sibling modes: Hide n' Seek, Tag, Team Match, and CTF.)
Other gamemodes are in the vanilla game, but people can also create their own.
