What you're grateful for in 2024 and what you achieved in it. Big or small, write it down, be proud of what you managed to accomplish!

Aquavine

📀🌻Frutiger Aero enjoyer :3🌻📀
Wowie... I still remember when I started working on my E.C remake back in December last year, not knowing what pandora's box I just opened. -w-

The title says everything, just remember and write down "the good ol' days" and enter 2025 with an open mind for improvement.

I guess I'll have to go first... And remember that the title is also just a suggestion, if you think that something may fit, then write it down! It doesn't matter if it doesn't exactly follows the idea of this thread. It's not that serious really. (I really hope this doesn't count under the "forum games" thingy for some unknown reason... :dramahog:)

So, I'll start with what I achieved:
-I started going outside more often, mainly OUTSIDE of summer. And I pretty much started exercising too, but not in a grindy way, but instead in a more fun way like going on a bike or (my second or maybe even first favorite.) roller blades.
-I started being more open to people in a variety of ways, and the best thing is that it's not exclusively online! :D
-I stopped being THAT emotionally cold compared to 2020 me.
-I stopped being afraid of having actual meaningful relation ships. (Mainly online though, I still have to climb this ladder in real life. -.-)
-I started interacting with people online more often, and not even for favors at this point. It's maybe 5% of all the times I interacted with someone on the internet.
-I guess I finally started psychologically healing after that 2020 fiasco everyone experienced.
-I managed to release 3 full addons, including all the updates these addons received too.
-I garnered a full number of 30,372 downloads... including the addons released in 2023... I don't tend to care about stats and stuff, but wow... I never thought that I would ever hit numbers like these... O_O"
-I started my own small youtube channel. (In which I post monthly but still. -v-)
-On which I garnered 7,588 views and 33 subs. :P (At least that's more reasonable for what I'm doing... Still, thanks for all the support me.)
-I managed to help... too many people to count nor remember, but maybe around 10. In which 1 I managed in a really major way. (I know you're reading this now... and you exactly know which person I'm talking about... :worry:)
-I started being more of a creator and less of just a simple consumer. (But there's nothing bad in being a consumer, I personally just felt like I want to do something myself too instead of just eating everything up and doing nothing meaningful with my skills. -_-)
-I managed to get into the school I wanted. :D
-I took a really big advantage of this year's summer for actually having fun worthy of a 2000s childhood.
-I learned how to ride on roller blades. (To the point of me being to probably hit 20 km/h when on a dry ground. >:3)
-I learned how to make pretty good sprites and overall digital art.
-I learned both in and outs of Zone builder AND Ultimate Zone Builder in a single year. :D
-I learned how to music, for dummies. :P

That was quite a lot of stuff... But enough about me. (kinda) Now I'll tell what I'm grateful for:
-Having a platform to share (what I consider to be) a neat piece of digital art and my love for more than just the Sonic franchise. Heck, maybe just for the love of creation I guess. :P
-Having people that support me, both here and in my private life.
-Being able to correct the mistakes I did.
-Learning how to forgive.
-Wanting myself to improve and be better.
-Still being able to experience and create good, despite how dangerous world had became.
-Having the people I currently have in my life.
-Becoming the person I actually want to be and act like.
-Being able to support others.
-The kindness of people.

And now that's kinda risky to mention that many people, but I hope that no one will be mad because of that. (I still have trauma from using @everyone at a discord server for goofs back in 2021... :oh:)

I want to give a personal shout out to:
@El-fire - been there for me since the very start.
@InfernoMelon - A cool guy, gave me a chance to actually make my own sprites. :3 (The rest of the lore is in his message here.)
@GingerSRB2 - Another cool guy, 1 out of idk how much main supporters of me. :3
@RubySpins - Let me use his sprites to make my E.C remake more lively, also a really good mapper from what I’ve seen.
@Jammin' - Gave me a goal to work towards when updating my E.C remake.
@Dark94 - Helped with making a revamped moveset for character I’m a spriter for. Also helped me with the technical SRB2 issues I had.
@*GOOFYRAT!* - Yet another main supporter of me, a really cool guy. :3
@GomaTheMascar - Randomly decided to check up on me when I had issues with UZB. Really cool guy too.
@yfyfyfyfyfy - Gave me a goal to work towards when remaking still w.i.p v2 of SSZ.
@The Unknown Watcher - A cool guy. And cool guys are cool. :>
@LegoTails - Makes videos showcasing the demo builds of my SA2 GHZ remake.
@lol guy - Pretty much shaped the visual identity act of N.E.C looks like. (I hope he actually played this stage in the end, he was looking forward to it but he left since august. :C)
@MrBoingBD - Was supporting me when making N.E.C! (Whenever you will get unbanned, just know that I’m still waiting for the review of N.E.C :threat:)
for being absolutely cool guys that influenced/helped me or did anything that turned out in me becoming a better person or becoming better at my craft. :3
I'm sorry if I missed someone who had a big impact on me, but a human memory is pretty... weak. -.- I had to go through all of my threads to remember maybe 25% of all the people here. :C (And please don't beat me up for all these mentions... o_o" And sorry? If someone got offended/annoyed by it? Somehow? I just don't wanna risk it. :dramahog:)

For 2025 I wish to get rid of any conflicts I had and becoming a clean slate to get a head start without worrying about things that are in the past. And to do that I want to say to anyone that I've hurt in anyway: I'm sorry, I don't want to continue any conflicts, all they do is spread people apart and I want to just have a good time here without making any enemies and just being able to interact with people here in peace.

See y'all in 2025... approximately 4 hours from now! (At least for me... -.-) I wish everyone a head start for the new year and remember that as long as you won't stop running, you can achieve great things! Climb the ladder and don't let yourself fall into any anxieties or the mistakes you already made!

It's unbelieveable how accurate are you to my time. What a small world this actually is. :shitsfree:

Honest to god, 2024 was probably the best of my internet life here. Although most of this year on SRB2MB was just supporting other people's work & sometimes making my own stuff via threads and updates to my guides, some people like Aquavine, @cheeseboi. & @SonicHeroX45 are genuinely people I can be chill with anyday and have a good time chatting with (mostly the first one because I can relate with him the most). I can't thank them enough for making this year great. :emberhug:

the fact i went from this:
IMG_8866.jpeg

to this:
Untitled259_20230430203652.jpeg

to this:
IMG_1408.png

in just under two years still baffles me to this day.

but really, i’m most thankful for…
IMG_0147.png

this dumbass.
cuz without him, my art would suck, my coding skills would suck (not saying that they don’t still suck 💀), and i would be completely happy and comfortable using paint 3d as my software for making art.
after the very, very valid reviews of cheeseboi v1 (some of which are still on legacy cheeseboi’s mod page) came to my attention, i was determined to… actually freakin’ try, to put it lightly. and, i guess that kinda worked? i mean sure, my art, and especially my coding have flaws, but it’s decent, right?
if it sucks just tell me, i’ll try and be better

and for my achievements…?
- I started working out, i started to lift, and i got into boxing and running
- I helped one of my friends out of a pretty toxic relationship
- I released Cheeseboi V2 (insert cheeseboi v2 ad here)
- Started to become a bit more organized
- Started a youtube channel, (I only have 102 subs, please subscribe!)
- Made some cool friends
and uh… there’s a ton more stuff that i did that i can’t remember off the top of my head. 💀

oh and shoutout to:
@darkboi. (My best friend, online and irl, this guy is literally him)
(He also helped a lot with cheeseboi v2)
@Tiny.Pan✨ (My sister)
@GingerSRB2 (A cool dude who was VERY helpful in the making of Cheeseboi V2)
@Crysochyon769 (also just a really nice guy)
@poular probably (Literally Yuji Uekawa)
@Sls64LGamingBro (The coolest, he was the person who inspired me to get into modding)
@Scott Silliam (Also just a very cool guy)
@LeoTheHedgehog12 (yet another great guy, check out his ashura mod btw)
@Dark94 (A coding wizard, his work is insane)
@stickmanguy2 (Cubeman. Nothing else to say)
@Glitchyisverycool (Is very cool, as the name suggests)
@PH Arthuro Games (Also a very cool guy)
@Craynomic (Also a very nice person)
@Helpme (Another friend i know irl, i know for a FACT he isn’t gonna be online to see this for like, a month, but he’s also… you’ll never guess… cool.)
I’ll add anyone i forgot, and happy new year.
(oh and it’s 22:20 rn for me)

Anyways, I normally don't do these types of "end of the year" things since I barely do anything lol but I guess make a exception this once
Going make this short and simple
- Somehow reached 500+ subs on a channel I barely post on
- Manage to begin and "finished" my dream SRB2 mod, Swift the Dragon in the same year
- Got couple cameos in some popular SRB2 levels
- Stopped posting on Twitter lol

and...

I'm only grateful for one thing and that is... all the people who helped and stick with the development of Swift on the WIP Thread!!! Thanks for the kind feedback and ratings on the Swift release page!! (plus @/Dry_Ny for making Swift's RR sprites, hope you doing well!) and very special shoutouts to you, @Aquavine !!! for helping me not give up on the mod when I was feeling unmotivated and in general, being a really great person/friend to talk to from time to time!!! (I'm truly grateful for that.
f76d98d91c38bf2123b533d56a3e14a8.jpg
) also thx for shoutout! :3

And.... that's all I got lol, happy new year's!!! :wow::wow::wow:

And that concludes my first whole year full of robo blasting the sonic 2. :knuxsmug: (At least in my time zone. It’s already almost 1 a.m for me.)

Thanks everyone for an amazing time and for a lot of really cool memories. And I will be honest, If I were to have no support at all with my mapping journey, then I probably would quit a long time ago and return to how my life looked like before all that.

So thanks for being one of probably the most supporting communities I will ever be part of. :3 (Unless I become a furry, but it was like 2 years of me being chill with them and still nothing, so probably not. :P)

I hope everyone here sooner or later will have a happy new year! ^v^

Well, taking the chance and starting medication to help with my depression back in July/August. I don't think I've ever felt better.
That's probably one of the biggest steps I've ever taken.
The second-most biggest accomplishment of mine is figuring out I'm nonbinary and coming out to my mom (and technically my dad) with that fact.
Don't worry, they still love me. /srs /gen
Third is probably taking the chance to actually try mapping for SRB2. I haven't touched any of my maps out of wanting to do other stuff overpowering the want to map, but I still plan on continuing that. I do enjoy it, a lot.

I don't have anything to say on my end. Although, I've improved over 5 years in this community, even in my daily hours in my life have only little to change in Real Life.

I have lots of stuff to cover in here, so I'll go through this quickly.

- Exercising after I get off on my PC (sometimes)
- I went to a science museum around Summer break
- Kept talking to my siblings about my life and where it's recently at
- New students in my school some became my friends after meeting them.
- Some of my videos reached impressive view counts throughout this year
- I've gained 739 subscribers somehow in a year
- I've started to learn more about Ultimate Zone Builder (a little) after the transition from ZB to UZB
- Improved my artistic skills throughout these 2 years
- Learned to make music with a website called BeepBox, and an app called LMMS
- I made lots of addons in a span 2 years, I'm currently up on the "Most Addons & More" list with 24 addons
- I've finally got a Discord account after thinking about it throughout 2 years of my life
- I've also finally finished my long-waited project, Alt Knuckles (It's probably in approval still)
- And finished my OC character, Seles The Arctic Fox

And what I'm most grateful for is... How I act on the internet and in real life. It's simple and explains my reason, but something I've worked on for my whole life in general. I'm still working on it, but it has improved compared to how I acted years ago.

I want to give some mentions to people I've appreciated and cared about throughout my life. These people are:

@csean07 ☆Kori☆ - Your Hangout maps inspired me to start making more levels.

@Sketchzelle - Also inspired me to make more levels in Zone Builder.

@LegoTails - Being trustworthy and helpful in the making of Alt Knuckles.

@Jammin' - He seems very confident when he speaks on the internet, and I appreciate that.

@GingerSRB2 - A cool person who's willing to share his thoughts about stuff.

@Dee - Another cool person

@GramKad - The man who made Scribble, and allowed me to join the project.

@LeoTheHedgehog12 - He made some impressive stuff on Scratch and Blender.

@cheeseboi. - He's an absolute mad lad who created 2 CSS art for Seles and Alt Knuckles and beta-tested him.

@Nasii06 - And the man who made the Stupidly Random Colors

And that's about it, hopefully, I didn't miss anyone. Since I might've forgotten a few. But it was a great time in 2024, hoping next year I can do something bigger and better and have a well-rested new year!

@Dark94 (A coding wizard, his work is insane)
Hey! That's me! Thank you dude.

Before someone says it, I know I'm late
First time doin' this...
If I had to say what was my greatest achievement, it would be the modding knowledge I've gained in 2024. Going from a cheap, VR-ish body displayer for the first person mode (which is the very first add-on I've submitted), to things like...

...this:
imagen_2025-01-01_000329182.png

Even I am surprised by the fact that now I'm recreating a RPG game in SRB2, pushing the limits of what my laziness allows me to do.

Also shoutouts to these cool persons, that made me feel at home in the Message Board:

@Aquavine [A cool mapper, and very friendly.]
@cheeseboi. [This guy is just the king of SRB2 spriters/artists after MotorRoach, and my inspiration to learn spriting.]
@Jammin' [Gave some feedback on my first add-on. Thank you dude!]
@InfernoMelon [He created one of my favorite characters.]
@Crysochyon769 [Another great artist, I've gotta say.]
@LeoTheHedgehog12 [A great modder, go check out his stuff!]
@Sls64LGamingBro [One of my inspirations to be better at Lua. And I think I've finally reached that goal.]
@justasquare [A dude doin' peak Sketchog add-on.]
Probably I forgot some other people, but you know who guys you are.

Welp, that's all from me, I'm very lazy as to write more xD. Happy new year to everybody! This 2025 will sure bring more adventures to the community.

@LeoTheHedgehog12 - He made some impressive stuff on Scratch and Blender.
My heart is literally melting and seeping into my lungs
@LeoTheHedgehog12 [A great modder, go check out his stuff!]
At this point my heart is no longer considered an organ and is now considered a soup
