Okay I have a Segment Violation problem..

See, I have a wad that works just fine and everything works but then, I open up Wadauthor and make a VERY small change (like moving the player 1 start one square away) and then save. When I try to run the wad again, I get a Segment Violation.

Any help would be much appreciated

When the next demo version comes out, will it be safe to unzip it (assuming it comes in a ZIP file) into the folder which holds the previous demo version, and just have it overwrite the already existing files, And keep the stuff I unlocked?
Or do I have to play the new one from scratch?

Unlike most other people, I wasn't a complete noob when I first joined. I was just too optimistic.

I have plenty of ideas for level wads, but I know nothing about making them, so I'll post them here in hopes that they'll ignite a spark of intrest in the mind of some optimistic wadder. Here goes...

My most recent idea for a wad would be a wad that takes place in a large canyon submerged in fire (don't leave! it gets more interesting!) which converges with a large glacier, with plenty of interesting bits in between. (grass, water, ect.) think about it! an enigmatic wonderland, where it's commonplace to see bridges of slippery ice suspended above pools of molten rock, where nothing is as it should be, like eggs laying chikens, bears mating with giraffes, and women who actually play video games! *shot* well, you get the picture.

how about a level pack where all the levels are based of the special stages? (they'd be normal levels, of course)

or how about some more creative level design aspects, like pools of water suspended above the ground. a flying ocean of sorts. It be easier than ramps and loops, anyway.

Y'now that moving wall from TH3? would it be possible to create a texture of a sky that moves like that wall? It'd add more depth to levels that take place on aircrafts.

does anyone remember a platformer called croc, for the playstation and saturn? would it be possible to rip the backgrounds from that game and use them in SRB2?

I have more ideas, but unfortunatley, I can't remember them at the moment. I'll post more ideas as they come to me. fell free to post any ideas for unique wads here. and feel free to use my ideas, if you like. Just remeber to give credit.

My only regret is that I used an exclamation mark several times. Honestly, who uses those?

My first post was related to the damned problem of install 1.08. The installer always blocked Windows, and I finally wasn't able to install it. Really. The installer of 1.09 has the same problem but lesser, and with a little of patient it opened. And when I saw "WinRAR", I understood everything... (WinRAR blocks my computer during some time for open any RAR, and when bigger the file, bigger the delay, so imagine SRB2...)

Anyways, I wasn't really a n00b because I already had that stage in another forum :P
