Yes it is,but for having it you need to have only one mod,FoxbotAI (and the customsave soc.)

Spoiler: Steps

1:Activate The mods .
2:Use a new file and select "Sonic and Tails"
3:use addbot metalsonic or any other(even mod ones!) at the console.
4:complete an stage
5:Returt to title
And now you have another buddy.

PD:i used setemeralds to get all emeralds in greenflower.
