I don't like heavy metal but I like almost every other kind of music video game and techno are my two favs.

I know it's a bit of a stretch, but knowing the type of music someone likes tells a lot about that person.

As for me, I'm a bit of an onmimusicusist.

Jazz (Cool/Smooth)
Ska
Ambient
Electronic
Classical (Baroque)
Rock (preferably Alternative)
Salsa/Tango/Flamingo
Hip Hop
R & B
Dance

My list isn't in any particular order, but that's about what I'm into. Seeing as I compose music, I feel music differently (I would come to think) than most people would. I have no favorite, and I don't ever expect to choose between them.

House
Techno
Swing
Distant (It's a very, very rare genre of music!)

Edit: Now that you guys mention it, I'd have to say Country is one of my favorite types of music, too.

Hrm... I don't generally have a *favorite* genre though I seldom like music with obnoxious instruments (vocals/lyrics count as instruments). Though if I were to just go by genre I would say classical/instrumental.
