What happened to the "The Emerald Isles" 2.2 port?

I remember it being on the addons forum, but now it's been gone for some time and I don't know what happened to it.
Bad people working on it?
Unofficial port?
Unfinished port??
Was it confusing? Hard to work on to the creator/porter?
Or was it just removed because it was given up on altogether and forgotten about?
If no one wants me talking about this, that's fine, I was just curious. I was just playing it on 2.1 earlier and remembered there used to be a 2.2 version.

The creator behind the port, Sirexer, got banned. Im not sure what happened afterwards,though.

I thought so...but usually mods from banned people aren't removed. (The Sonic 06 map pack, for example...pretty sure that's still there)
