What dose vanilla mean in srb2?

So the question hit me and I keep seeing the word vanilla in the mb for the srb2 game I mean what do they mean by vanilla srb2 servers? Or the basic 2.2 vanilla sprites for in game?

It means no addons are being used for servers, and for the sprites, it means sprites from the base game without addons. Basically same thing.
