In Malaysia, we have Proton. It also became popular one time at UK. The name itself is an acronym, and it is Perusahaan Otomobil Nasional, meaning National Automobile Enterprise. Literally, I forgot that the word "proton" is also that atom thingy, with "neutron".
We also have Perodua, which is Perusahaan Otomobil Kedua, meaning Second Automobile Enterprise. Probably came after Proton.
