How might one go about changing the resolution to 320x200x16 for a game in visual basic?

Is there a DLL or something that I can DECLARE FUNCTION? 'Cuz, I really don't want to use DirectX. I just learned BASS, and that streches my knowladge allready. Now, I'm learning BitBit, and... well, the code gets really complicated, really fast.

ChangeDisplaySettings

The Win32 function LONG ChangeDisplaySettings(LPDEVMODE, DWORD) can change the resolution and so forth. Here's its MSDN entry. However, it might only support the display modes as listed in the Display Properties control panel, which of course is no use to you. I'm not sure if that's the case, though, so it's probably worth a try.
