Using SOCs

I have a few socs from the forums and i've been here for awhile. I can't figure out how to use the socs. Came someone tell me. I have a launcher but what do I do now? Someone please help me.

It is better to just type in RUNSOC <SOC> in the console, start a game and see what the SOC does.

It says cannot load file <soc>.wad

For a SOC, type in:

RUNSOC Whatever.SOC

It still doesn't work either i'm not doing something right or the game hates me. Do the socs need to be in a certain folder to load them?

Yes, the same folder as your SRB2 files.

Everything to do with srb2, (WADS,SOCS,PLAYERS,EXES) go in the srb2 folder.

I myself find it best just to pretend it's a WAD. That always works fine.
