Using keyboard as player 1 and gamepad as player 2?

Hi, I was wondering if I could set my xbox controller as player 2 and my keyboard as player 1. SRB2Kart lets me do this, but I can't seem to find any ways to do it in Ring Racers. Any help on this?

EDIT: I found out, I just have to replug my controller mid-game and then it works.
