Unused assets for Snake recreation?

I was browsing srb2.pk3 in SLADE when I noticed some unused assets that seem to relate to a recreation of Snake?
I couldn't find anything about it anywhere (translation: i didn't see it on tcrf or the first page of the discussions thread), so I wanted to point it out.
The graphics are under srb2.pk3 -> Graphics -> Snake
I'm not even fully sure that they're unused?

These graphics are used in the Snake minigame that you play whenever you join a server and download its addons. The reason they're not on the TCRF page is because they're not unused. Unless you've never joined a server, you have seen these sprites.

Oh, sorry, I've only played unmodded Multiplayer with my family.
