Without it, we wouldn't have things such as the Cyrillic Millions Sign, allowing you to screw many stuff up by making it backwards (҉), Upside-down text (˙uʍop-ǝpısdn ɥǝʇ ɹ ı zlnl), the Swastika (卍), and many other symbols, glitches, and tricks.

I think those are just smallcap letters. You know, when you have lowercase letters using smaller uppercase letters instead. They tend to look nice on resumes.
