Tunneling SRB2 to trick computers that its doin LAN online

is it possible to tunnel the game(much like using xbox connect for example, which tricks the xbox to think its doing LAN games, but the person theyre versing is on the other side of earth or something)?

Im not exactly sure if its possible, because i only heard of game systems being tunneled...

well, you could only do Lan games with srb2, so im just thinking, if someone made a program or something, click the LAN thing, then a lot of servers will come up, but im sure it would be a lot simplier just to put the search for interent games in the game

SRB2 has an online mode, so there's no need for tunneling. In order to find online games, you will need to check the master server (at srb2.servegame.org) and then go to "Join Game (Specify IP)" and type in the IP address of the person hosting the game.

I never used the masterserver anyway; It's very buggy and rather incovienent, and now that the server no longer kicks ass, I'm not about to start

It's been officially supported since Demo 2, if I recall. I know AJ has stories of playing deathmatch with early exes where you still had a shotgun.

Netplay is just part of the Doom code, pretty much.
