As seen here, upon level completion, the timer freezes at 0:42:25, but when going to the stage clear tally, for some odd reason it skips to 0:45:11. This has happened to me before, on GFZ3. Is SRB2 just frustrated that I can beat its bosses so quickly?
Demos go to the intermission screen only when a flag (or something) is set in the demo itself.
As such, demos ignore the part of player->exiting that determines when to go the intermission screen.
As such, it's possible for player->exiting to hit zero for one tic, resetting player->realtime to the actual leveltime, which is what the intermission screen goes off of.
