I am having a hard time trying to get under 6 mins. I have already seen some posts on this topic but not in enough detail. ***Could someone help me with specific routes/characters to get the fastest times?***
Here are my records(not including boss stages):

GF1: sonic : 0:20
GF2: sonic : 0:44
TH1: sonic : 0:57
TH2: sonic : 0:50
CE1: sonic : 1:31
CE2: sonic : 1:19

I reckon Knuckles should be the best choice for you. He's not as fast as Sonic, but he can climb all around the shortcuts, which is good.

Wow, I can get 17 seconds in GFZ1 with sonic

Wow, I can get 17 seconds in GFZ1 with sonic

i get around 18 seconds, but if im lucky enough, i can get 16 seconds
