Tikal Beta finally out! Now for the real thing...

Not as much progress as I would like to have made, though. I was planning to work on it all of last week, and if it weren't for those **** essays, I would have been able to. X|
 
Tikal is starting to get better, I just can wait until be done, also, try make her a little faster than Knuckles like in Sonic Adventure 2
 
Actually, I was planning on it. I always loved using tikal in a race against knux. My thing about her going fast is her running frames. I don't want her to look like she's jogging, but I want her to have a decent running posture. But I'll worry about crossing that bridge when I come to it. Right now, I've got falling frames to finish up. And with no homework for the rest of the week, that's oodles of freetime.
I'll be keeping everyone....posted!!! HAHAHAHAHA!! *shot* I know everyone's probably seen that pun a dozen times before.
 
She will be, my good man. I just don't have a clue about what to do for her running: do I make her SA2 style running, or do I come up with some other running posture?
 
Nah, maybe she could sorta toss her hips when walking and then when she runs its sorta like the oppisite of knuckles, since she doesnt have those heavy gloves.
 
I gots a problem, folks. I've been working on her side falling frames, and, well... does she look too skinny?



And it's not a done frame, I just figured I should ask that before I decide to bypass it now, and find that out later.

Hmm, something is wrong, but I don't know exactly what is, I guess the eyes and the mouth

I don't think the dress is supposed to be shaped like a lantern. =/
 
Well, this is a side view of her. I know that most girls tend to have an hourglass figure, but does that apply to an echidna? Or do I need to fatten her up (for lack of better terms)?

I think 'resizing' her waist would be more appropriate. Also, you mind if I try my hand at the falling sprites?

I figured I would start on some of the more complicated frames after this weekend. So after Sunday, I'll be disappearing for a week while I work on the more difficult stuff. I'll still be in touch, because I beta-test for Chisuun, Dr.P is contributing, and Nicky Clemente expressed interest in Angelus, Illyana, and Magorian (Yes, I've revived Angelus and will be giving him friends). Anyone that wants to talk to me personally PM me for my e-mail address.
If no one talks to me before hand, I'll see you all in a week.

EDIT: I also have a general idea for my character select pic. I'll let you all know what it looks like soon enough. I might need help, though. There's a certain part of it I'm not too good at drawing 0_0
 
I'M BAAAAAAAAAACK!!!
This last week has been exhausting, and not because of all the spriting I've been doing, it's just been a madhouse here (I've only had work time at night). Currently, I'm working on the climbing frames at the moment. And with Dr.P being his usual completely-awesome-self, I hope to get this done by Thursday, as I am planning to release a beta of Tikal on/close to Halloween. The Beta will consist of her doing basic SRB2 functions and a very simple spin jump. Next time around, she will have better boredom frames, jumping frames, and possibly a custom spin trail (it's still up for debate). However, after the beta release, only 1/2 the week will be put into her, as me and NickyClemente will be working on our human characters. Here is a preview of Illyana (that's Ill-e-Anna)

But it's very hard to see, I need to go forward to my computer to see it, make the nose a bit bigger, because i'm sure we, humans, don't have that nose size. Noone has it.
 
Well if you show us a screenshot, chances are we will critique it. Anyway, nice job with this character so far, but I can't say I usually get too exited about character wads.
