Tails is better in the older Genisis games, because he can be fun to play with if you have 2 players.

Tails was awesome until he started talking. Then it just all went downhill for him. His voice is always grating, and his lines are almost always worse.

Haven't any of you seen the OLD OLD sonic cartooons

there were two series

one where it was just sonic and tails in which tails was actualy 3 years old so its was reasonable that he was annoying

the other one, however, had all the comic book gang like rover, sally, antoine, all the rest. In that one tails just didn't talk much.

I still have the original vhs' for those shows.

I think I have about 70 comics lying around as well they were good(especialy because you couldt HEAR tails' voice)
And for christ sake ppl its a VERY sad fate, but sonic IS for kids. thats why its so easy. The only reason we all still play sonic is because we liked it when we were kids, AND it has good music.

SRB2, however is not made by sonic team and is NOT for kids.

Again I really wish that sonic had grown WITH us but it hasn't.

We forgive them though am I right?

I don't count those as officially related to Sonic at all.
I only go by the official Sonic games.
I mean come on... the voice of Sonic was done by Jaleel White!

I don't think there's really any problem with Tails' speaking, they just have to get a good voice for it. I'd say his 4Kids one is actually quite good, considering all the alternatives we've had so far. Other than that, it'd be nice if he went back to being cute and cuddly. Cute and cuddly is fun.

As for his lines being bad, I attribute that to bad writing for the game overall rather than Tails himself.

News flash:
The english SonicNextGen site claims that "Tails has worked with Sonic for over 15 years". Perhaps this means that Sonic Team has finally made him a teenager.

Someone said earlier that tails is 8, that's also wrong, he is atleast 11 or 12, I can't remember which.

Pick up a Sonic game manual sometime.
