Bah... Another useless program by Google... it may be cool but what are its utilizations? Is this simply a toy?

It can give you directions. They're quite good, too.
 
First off, you have the ability to view B&W colormaps of your area. Seccond off, you have instant topo maps for wherever you are (or are going), so you can plan a hike or something without going to the local 7-11 for maps. Third, you have very cool-lookin' pictures in color of wherever - or whatever you're lookin' at. Fourth, USAPhotoMaps can make a HUGE .JPG file so that you can just print it off if you need it.

That's from a flash application on Newgrounds. It lets you edit Sonic (Tails and Knuckles as well?) to have various assets he originally wouldn't have.

Yeah, it's a cool idea in theory, but having toyed around with it in the past, the results tend to look like they were made by somebody who can't draw.
