The wiki messaged my Ip. WTF?

Um, I could be wrong, but I believe MediaWiki allows their users to create seperate accounts for every Internet Protocole to pass by thier site. They can then use these accounts to ban certain computers from editing there pages should the editing be screwing up or defacing the Wiki itself.

No, it doesn't create an account, but it does allow for one to edit an IP address page, as it records edits from unregistered users. If someone creates an IP talk page, then that's what you see, should you be using that IP.
