the weirdest thing happened

When i used system restore half the processes on my taskbar switched from user to system and they take up more power. before the restore my computer used very little power, but after the restore it takes 100% power to load a page. is that supposed to happen?

Sorry, I had to. Try reformatting Windows. That usually fixes any software problems.

Reformatting sounds like a pretty harsh fix. I'd use it as a last resort, if you can't figure out anything else.
