Excuse me if I'm being too fatiguing.
for re-uploading another post about an error.
but it is because I do not know very well how the game works and less
I know the programming code.

well let's go to today's topic.
Remember my post about the sigsegv segment violation error? Well, if you remember that it was going well, you will know how this works.
but if you haven't seen it, have you click here.
continuing with the topic now
The exact same thing happens to me but ... this time the problem was in the 3d models and not pure with the models made by fans if not
that also with the defaults that come with the game.(this time I decided to summarize the post a bit so as not to make it so annoying to read)

Whenever the game crashes due to a SIGSEGV, it will append a crash log to a file named srb2win.RPT. If it doesn't exist, it gets created.
That file contains important information that the developers can use to figure out the issue.
You can find this file in the same folder where SRB2 is.

Upload it.

well i found the .rpt file and is here this is what it says.

Are you using a laptop?
There is a recurring issue with laptop users trying to use 3D models and the game crashing sooner or later after toggling on OpenGL mode.
Seems like the Intel integrated graphics your laptop has is unable to handle the OpenGL version the game uses.

Try updating your graphic drivers, see what happens.
If you did, or you can't, and it still doesn't work, then you are unable to play in OpenGL mode.

Well, I have a normal computer and another question, what version of open gl does the game ask for?

I don't remember - Somewhere in version 2.x, I think.
Integrated graphics often support up to OpenGL 1.x.

That's strange.
The origin of your issue comes from your drivers though.

Have you tried updating them yet?

I tried but it tells me that I have the most recent version and that I do not need to update it

I do not know if this helps in something but it may be that if it works, when I select the open gl mode it does not let me select the mode again
software and when I try to select the mode
software the screen is stuck but not responding even though
The music sounds and also when I move in the menu with the keys they sound as if what was stuck was the image but the game was responding and to fix it I have to select the open gl mode again.

well it seems that in the end we could not fix it.Thank you very much anyway. I will try not to re-upload threads like this during a time so as not to be annoying and I will upload more normal themes.

I found a way to fix it. I opened the config file with Visual Studio Code, and found a line that said
renderer "OpenGL"
I just changed it to renderer "Software" and the game opened properly.

This is not the solution here. The user is able to partially use OpenGL, the issue is trying to find out where the failure point is. In any case, they can change the Renderer to Software via the Video Options menu... if this was still relevant, but this thread is from 2021.
