The game fails to start?

So I downloaded the source code of SRB2 (from Github), built the game from said source code, ran the srb2win.exe file, and it just says "The application was unable to start correctly (0xc000007b). Click OK to close the application."

Can anyone figure out why this is happening or possibly tell me how to fix it?
