I gave up on Xtreme since Cy-Chan is making his own Xtreme wad. So, I set out on a NiGHTS game and the results are incredible! I have replaced the SS sprite with a much more fitting NiGHTS sprite ripped from NID. So um... uh... yeah... this week maybe? Seriously, though all I need is the following before I can release it:

I need two more levels...

I need to finish the sprites...

I need to clean up the menu system a little more and maybe put in cutscenes.

I've edited the SRB2 source and all is well. It compiles fine now, anywho... now for 50 comments nobody but me cares about.

EDIT:I NEED SPRITERS/LEVEL DESIGNERS! YOUR NAMES WILL BE PUT IN THE CREDITS!

Post screenshots before announcing some of your work. People become upset if it dies if you don't have screenshots. They also become mad at you if it turns out horrible. Also, you can't expect people to work for you if they don't know what your work looks like in the first place. They might just want to work on their own.

How is this related to the editing of SRB2? It sounds like it should go in Off-Topic as it is of a game not concerning SRB2. Please correct me if this is a mod.

I look forward to viewing this in its finished form. Make sure to not rush your work. Take as much time as you need, but don't delay. Steady working creates the best games and wads alike. Good luck, and may the force be with you.

Actually, it is an SRB2 mode, re-read Firekid. But he's right lgm. You should show some snapshots.

Cool, I guess. I'd help, but I've never bothered learning how to make NiGHTs levels. They just seem too complicated for what they're worth. I can easily make some level designs for you though.

Um... yeah... I figured people were smart enough to realize this was a mod based of SRB2. I'll post screenshots soon, I don't know when, but probably when the first demo is set for download. I've decided the demo will only contain Spring Hill for now, as it's obvious people don't want to help.

... I hope you didn't mean to offend me, because you did.

Dude, posting screenshots when the demo comes out? That's not a good plan. You should post screenshots before the demo comes out to see if anyone's interested. You wouldn't want to create something that no one is going to play, now, would you?

Again, I say, "..." Just because no one had signed up yet to help does not mean that no one's interested. How do you know that someone won't sign up tomorrow, or the day after? How do you know that no one is thinking it over in their mind right now about signing up? How do you know that someone is signing up as I type or you read this message? You don't.

NiGHTS levels are the hardest yet, I'm still figuring out how to properly move sonic. And sprites... I stink at sprite editing.

Blah, I'd help, but I've had bad experiences with making NiGHTS levels and people not likeing them -_-;

Here's a simple screenshot. This hardly does it justice, as all the changes in the menu systems and title screens and cutscenes are really cool, but oh well. You asked for it.

NIGHTS000.gif

oh my gosh... those graphics are really good lostgamemaker! I cant say anything about the level yet of course, and that sprite was badly ripped I'm sure. Thats the only flaw.

I can tell they are, after all, I'ved ripped em' before, and they are actual images taken by a camera :)

I ripped the textures myself from Sonic Adventure. Anyways, I know I need a better sprite, but I can't draw.

If you have photoshop or PSP or any image editing program WITH LAYERS(lookit the emphisis! Whee! :D ), trace the nights, delete the original sprite layer, add color, shading, and presto! A nights sprite. If needed, Photoshop(and I'm sure other programs) have a rotate picture Xº feature. Rotate the sprite 1º, then save it, then go around 180 times.
