Why did they remove Grey
There's either a serious lack of them or I haven't explored the Editing section enough.

Anyways, it's not done quite yet but if I can get come critisim on how it's doing and any tips for making it better, then I'd be happy. :D MAP01, 02 and 03 are done, 04 is being worked on. Here's teh linky:

Btw, credit to Jackel for the original MAP03 which I edited.

They're quite interesting.
Suggestions:
*more scenery (flats, textures, things, etc.)
*more paths
*more secrets
*make the levels bigger
*don't use buttons much
*don't flood the place with enemies
*there are some places where Sonic can't get out of
*the stairs are small and cramped for Sonic in LFZ

Pretty good.
The first level could use some flowers and stuff. Scenery thingies.

Also, ZenNode it. In OGL, there's a few visual glitches here and there.

Yeah the first level I sorta skipped out on since I hate placing scenery... ^^;

....and wtf, I DO ZenNode it... o_O

Well remember that OGL isn't exactly perfect either, the SRB2 Launcher itself states that hardware rendering hasn't been perfected yet so some thing may look strange. My wad could be one of those examples.

Yeah I somewhat skipped out on flats since I didn't want to create extra sectors for them. ^^; I also HATED placing scenery things, annoyed me to no end they did.

Ehhh, I'll keep that in mind for the future levels...

Some guy2 said:

Don't plan to, MAP03 came with buttons and MAP04 was an idea.

But then where would the challenege be? :D *shot* Seriously, try playing it on Ultimate mode and suffer. But if you play on Normal, it's basically a cakewalk. I wanted to make all the levels very challenging yet still make it so that newbies or average players can still find it fun, not frustrating. That was the only way I could find. Later levels will have replaced enemies (Like Crawla Commanders instead of Red Crawlas) and not added enemies since I later found that unattractive though.

O_o Mind pointing them out...?

Act...? I'm guessing Act 1 though, I never liked that level, was a n00bish attempt a really long time ago that I guess I failed in making better. >.>

Lime Forest 1 and 2 are quite nice. They aren't dominators, but for an early attempt, they're very good.

As someone already mentioned, you have a few too many enemies. I'd also suggest avoiding using Jetty-syns unless you want the stage to be rather difficult, because Jetty-syns are notoriously hard to kill. You can add challenge to later stages, the first zone should always be relatively simple, generally. It's not fun to get owned on MAP01, and a newbie would probably have that happen to them here.

I'd also suggest making your own LFZ3. Jackel's Boss1.wad is VERY old, made for Demo 3, and it shows it, big time. Buttons are a bad gameplay mechanic in Sonic games. Your Techno Hill is also suffering from button overuse syndrome.

Overall, I really like your first two maps, they're great fun, even with the flaws.

Hmm, I rather like this, good job. Though it does indeed have it's flaws. The enemies need to be toned down a bit, and try a more unique theme for cripes sakes, we've all seen GFZ and THZ before. Also, the only Sonic-unfriendly area I've seen is in the 3rd lake in LFZ2, you really need a spring in there.

Oh, and by the way, my best times so far:

LFZ1 - 0:23
LFZ2 - 0:35
LFZ3 - 0:49
THZ1 - 0:44

*Sings* IIII'm better than Myyyyystic, IIII'm better than Myst- Wait. HOTDOG HOW COULD YOU

I shall rectify this issue later.

I'm horrible at Time Attack and I know it.

I just got 24 seconds doing some Crawla bouncing, but I'm not that particularly good at it =P

Well the themes after LFZ and the unnamed THZ will be original, I'm gonna be trying to cram as many original levels in there as possible, without lowering gameplay.

And there are steps in that lake, though I guess I should make them more noticable or, even better, make them bigger.

Everyone doesn't like the huge amount of enemies idea so that's scrapped. :P Time to re intergrate the enemies in LFZ then.

I'll redo LFZ 3 if I have time. THZ 1 is going to be really hard since it's already really small without the buttons. :|

You people don't realize how pleasing it is to find people trying to best other people at YOUR maps.

EDIT: Hotdog, I just realized how l33t your time is on LFZ1, mind sending me a demo? :D *shot*

Bleh. I can just barely make 0:19, it's not getting any better than that. Requires some serious crawla bouncing and strafing. x.x

I updated the WAD, click the link on the first post to download it. Leaf Forest renamed to Lime Forest (Thanks Mystic! ;)), LFZ1 and 2 are enemy optimized and THZ has been renamed to Crawla Factory Zone. Never got to rebuild LFZ3 but I'll get around to it eventually.

I release a new version every couple new zones or so, see how my progress is going. Here's a list of Zones I got planned:

V 0.2
Lime Forest Zone
Crawla Factory Zone

V 0.4
Rainy Ruins Zone
Flooded Caves Zone

V 0.6
Mountainside Jungle Zone
Flying Plant Zone

V 0.8
Egg Shuttle Zone
Egg In Space Zone

V 1.0
Final X Zone (OMFG)
New Special Stages

Level pack

Impressive. I look forward to the final version.

One thing: in LFZ1 in the updated version, there's a Crawla at the Player 1 Start position in Easy mode, which is decidedly terminal for the character.

[Goes to improve his risible LFZ1 time.]
