For Sony, that wasn't a slip-up, they suck in general, and for SEGA, that wasn't the only slip-up, everything from Sonic Heroes and onwards was a slip-up, with the exception of Sonic Rush Adventure. EDIT: And the Sonic Advance franchise wasn't a slip-up either.

You forget SatSR.

When was the last major Nintendo slip-up, in terms of game quality? Super Mario Sunshine, and that wasn't even that bad.

While it's possible this game won't be everything we hope it'll be, their track record is so unbelievably good recently that there is simply no reason to doubt that it'll be an amazing game.

I quite enjoyed that game. 3 times playthorugh, whoo!

Also, I've just stopped reading the SSBB site... I'd rather wait for the game to come, and have a nice (HOPE) surprise. I sure hope it adds more to the series than Diamond and Pearl did to Pokemon. I got bored of those games rather quickly.

Today's update is the best I've seen in a long time. Battling on a race-track looks like it will be quite interesting. My only worries are that it looks a little small...

I hope there is an event where you have to knock all the racers off the track in a given time limit. That would really be quite interesting.

Best looking assist trophy ever. Especially if you count pokeballs with the assist trophies.

Anyways, I'm pretty sure Nintendo won't let us down. Even if they gave us plain Melee with online this time, I'd love the game. But seeing the updates(before E 4 All and the delay spoiled it), you can say this'll be incredible. The stage builder update was the best update ever.

No, Sonic's introduction was the best update ever. Even if we all saw it coming from a mile away, the fact it was actually happening was just mind-blowing.

As shocking as Stage Builder was, Sonic's inclusion is the whole reason why I'm steadily watching the site. As for recent updates, assist trophies are generally more exciting than game option stuff, but the stage was probably the best recent update shown. Assist trophies are generally not extremely exciting for an update in my opinion. (if they show Tails as an assist trophy I might change my mind)

Not saying it wasn't a good update. The Sonic update was indeed mind blowing, and gave way more of a shock and trill than the Stage Builder did. But the excitement 'round it now is kind of...less. But the stage builder still seems amazing even now.(to me)

Both characters were introduced on the same day at the same time. I believe they meant to show Mario before Link: it's just the weird post ordering they do for same-day posts.

I thought Wi-Fi Play was the best update. Play with anyone from round the world. That sound so cool.

It was predicted from sooo many miles afar, that it would only be a suprise if it WASN'T in. So the update isn't that shocking to me, but the fact that the game goes online IS one of the reasons that it'll totally rule over Melee. A stage builder was something most people didn't predict, and was actually NOT lame too. Since a lot of stuff is already invented and used before, most original things are really small or lame these days. But Smash with a Stage Builder? Thats something new AND cool.

Does anybody else think that the stickers will bring alot replayability to the game?

So what are you a Sonic fan. Nintendo is not going to show that much of Sonic I bet. Besides what can tails do as an assist trophy.
