Steam Deck SRB2

Hey so, I recently picked up a Steam Deck for Christmas, and im loving it absolutely, so I put SRB2 on it so I can take it on like car rides and stuff. Most of the controls seem to work fine with the built in controller support, but there's a few oddities in it. I'm sure this has been asked before so I'll keep it short: the L2 bumper by default makes the camera pan to the right, but releasing the button just makes the camera pan to the left without pause. It can't be stopped unless you physically restart the level you're in; trying to change camera direction only stalls it until you release the button. The right-hand joystick also seems to be completely unusable, not functioning for any kind of camera panning as it normally should be. Is there any way at all to fix these controls or correctly bind them for the Deck? The game runs wonderfully, I'm just puzzled at whatever these default button layouts are here.

Responding in case others run into this problem. I got stuck with this for a minute as well, but the solution is simple:

STEAM:
-add to Steam as a non-steam game on desktop mode
-controller settings > remap L2 as L1, R2 as R1 (or to any other preferred buttons)
-remap right joystick to "Joystick Mouse"

SRB2:
-adjust in-game mouse settings via options > P1 controls > Mouse Options
