Starting out with the srb2 DoomEditor?

Well, i started out, I wanted to make a character, And Map was the only choice...

SRB2Builder is a map editor, not a general wad editor. Use a tool such as SlumpED; I believe it should be on the wiki somewhere.

If the latest version is what I think it is, that's kind of flawed in the sense that it only allows capitals for lump names. Character wads require ten images with lower cases.

That's probably from an earlier version, I'm guessing, so I dunno.

In the more recent XWE versions, that ALL CAPS thing can be turned off in one of the menus.
