Has anyone heard of this?

Starfox: Shadows of Lylat is a space simulation / space shooter computer game developed by the SoL Team. It is a 3rd-party freeware game made by a group of fans of the Star Fox series. Shadows of Lylat has been under work for a long period of time. It uses the FreeSpace 2 Source Engine and has incorporated many new processes such as rail missions and planet-side missions.

Just found out about it to day. I think it looks cool. I hope they keep it up. What are you thoughts on it?

Looking at there forums. Makes it look like its already going down that path.

From what I understand, most Starfox fangames are scrapped pretty early on. Aside from the simple 2D sidescrollers.

Funny timing though, I was just looking into Starfox fangames yesterday.

It's a starfox based mod of a game called freespace 2, if you look in the internet (or wiki) you can download it for free, both game and mod.

Wait, Freespace 2 is free? The engine is, sure, but last I checked, the game itself was not yet freeware.
