Star Post problems

I'm having trouble with star posts for my race stage. For some reason, when I set the flags for the star posts, they don't stay that way; instead they just unchecks everything I checked exept for easy, and then either flags itself as nothing or 7. If I have to I will explain again but I think that is good.
So, how do I fix this?

The number is the actual value that the game is reading. The check boxes are there so that you don't have to do a bunch of math in order to make the number to input.

For starposts, the game disregards the normal system of recognizing the difficulty boxes and instead reads the number as the order of the starpost.
